President M. Shaimiev congratulated Academician Igor Tarchevsky on 75-anniversary of birthday

On January 24, the academician of Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS) and Academy of Sciences of Tatarstan, the deserved scientist of Russian Federation Igor Tarchevsky turned 75 years. President of Republic Tatarstan Mintimer Shaimiev congratulated the famous academician on the jubilee.

I.A.Tarchevsky is an eminent scientist, well -known in the country and abroad, who dedicated over 50 years to physiology and biochemistry of plants. He chairs Kazan scientific school of physiologists and plant biochemists created by him and enjoys wide popularity.

Presidium Chairman of Kazan scientific centre under RAS Alexander Konovalov and RT President’s State Advisor on science and higher education, rector of KGTU Sergei Dyakonov also took part in the meeting.
