Meeting devoted to results of social and economic development of Republic Tatarstan in 2005 held in Kremlin

President of Tatarstan Mintimer Shaimiev held meeting in the Kremlin on results of social and economic development of Republic Tatarstan in 2005 and put tasks before the Government for 2006.


Mintimer Shaimiev marked that past year was unconditionally positive for the republic in every respect: both in political, social, economic and in other spheres of life. «The very fact of a scale holding anniversary of Kazan and other examples of participation of Tatarstan in political processes of the Russian level provides political stability, interethnic, consent in the republic that is a basis for successful development of the economy», - he said. The head of republic emphasized that year is over with some advancing of parameters planned for 2005. Growth of total regional product has reached almost 7 %, volumes of industrial production have shown higher dynamics as well. "We almost do not speak about doubling of TRP, we always speak about efficiency of growth, I think, that all this more actual posing of question allowing to influence improving life standards of people, their real incomes», - Mintimer Shaimiev emphasized.


Mintimer Shaimiev has determined the main directions demanding special attention at implementing forthcoming tasks for 2006. In this connection he charged to analyze carefully: condition and tendencies of becoming middle class in the republic, issues of strengthening innovative orientation of the economy, continuation of reforms in system of housing and communal services, development of local self-government . Mintimer Shaimiev paid attention of the meeting participants that year 2006 is declared a year of literature and art. In his opinion, forthcoming anniversaries of outstanding art workers of Tatarstan and significant dates should be conducted at a high level, worthy of our rich cultural heritage.
Summing up the meeting, Mintimer Shaimiev said that the main task of each ministry and department, each head - to define how more effectively to realize the parameters of growth planned for 2006. «Clear thinking, clear representation of mechanisms of achieving fixed objects - this should be with what team of heads of the republic to be prominent of», - the head of republic stated.
RT Prime Minister Rustam Minnikhanov, RT Chairman of State Council Farid Mukhametshin, heads of ministries and departments of the republic took part in the meeting.
