The Kazan Kremlin, President of Tatarstan Mintimer Shaimiev received the delegation of the Amur region led by governor Leonid Korotkov. During a meeting between administration of the Amur region and Government of Republic Tatarstan the Agreement on trade - economic, scientific and technical, social - cultural cooperation was signed.

Before the beginning of a working meeting the head of republic delivered a medal "In memory of 1000-anniversary of Kazan to governor of the Amur region and thanked him for participation in celebrating anniversary of Tatarstan capital. Mintimer Shaimiev expressed hope, that in last year August the representatives of the Amur region delegation had an opportunity just fluently to familiarize with successes of Tatarstan in various fields According to the RT President, today representatives of Far East region have all opportunities in details to study conditions in our republic. Mintimer Shaimiev also noted necessity of setting up the special inter-regional working group so that representatives of the two territories could get acquainted closer with industrial potential of each other. As governor of the Amur region Leonid Korotkov noted, a working visit of the delegation had started fruitfully enough. Already today the Agreement on exchange of experience in sphere of indicative economy management applied in Tatarstan has been signed. "Your methods are well known in the country, and we would like to transfer them to our Amur soil. In some issues today we lack complex approach approved by time, - governor of Trans-Amur noted.

Upon end of a meeting Mintimer Shaimiev and Leonid Korotkov answered questions of journalists. According to the President of Tatarstan, brief acquaintance and exchange of opinions allow to declare that between the two regions there are mutual interests in many spheres of cooperation, first of all, in sphere of economy.
