Mintimer Shaimiev took part in Russian - Kazakhstan negotiations in Astana

Today, on a final day of stay in Kazakhstan, President of Tatarstan Mintimer Shaimiev took part in negotiations between Russian and Kazakhstan delegations on broad range of issues, held in Astana within the framework of working visit by President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, informs the RT President's press centre.

During negotiations in the expanded structure the issues of extending cooperation in various branches of the economy, the further increase in trade volume between the Russian Federation and Republic Kazakhstan, interactions in fuel and energy complex, and cooperation of two countries, in particular, were discussed within the framework of international integration structures - EuroAzEc, Organization of collective safety agreement, the Shanghai organization of cooperation.

It is necessary to emphasize that in the project implemented by "KAMAZ " and foundation of the bank " TuranAlemKazan" in Kazan were marked during negotiations as examples of successful cooperation between one of the regions of the Russian Federation and Kazakhstan. The point was also about interaction in other spheres of economy, in particular, in helicopter engineering, and expansion of humanitarian communications.

After negotiations the presidents of two countries exchanged Letters on ratification of the Agreement on Russian - Kazakhstan border.

Signing the Agreement on setting up the Euro-Asian development bank took place, the main direction of its activity implies implementation of joint investment projects in the field of industry, power, transport.

To promote expansion of cooperation and steady development of the economy of Kazakhstan and the Russian Federation the Cooperation Agreement has been signed today between “Vnesheconombank” of Russia and Kazakhstan Bank of development. It opens wide prospects for effective economic cooperation between the enterprises of the Russian Federation and Republic of Kazakhstan.

Today Mintimer Shaimiev has taken part in a reception by RK President Noursultan Nazarbaev in honour of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin.
