Strategy of Tatarstan’s economic progress through petrochemistry is the most effective, Mintimer Shaimiev considers

The volume of gross regional product in Tatarstan by results of 2005 may exceed 500 billion roubles, that in comparable prices approximately by 6,5 percent is higher than a last year's parameter. The volume of industrial turnout may achieve 480 billion roubles, that 4,4 percent is more a last year's parameter. Such a forecast was made today at press conference held by President Mintimer Shaimiev at the Kazan Kremlin devoted to results of past year.

"We did not set a task on doubling gross product and growth for the sake of growth, the main thing is an effective growth leading to increase of revenue, - RT President emphasized. So, growth of real monetary incomes of the population for a year is expected at a rate of 17 percent, real salary growth to make 11-12 percent. Not at random, the head of republic noted, in Tatarstan one by one hypermarkets of major federal companies began to spring up. As a result the volume of retail sales in territory of Tatarstan will exceed 150 billion roubles.

All these parameters once again prove correctness of the elected strategic line on economic development of republic through petrochemistry which, by Mintimer Shaimiev's words, for today is the most effective.
