Mintimer Shaimiev: “In three-four years Tatarstan should become most competitive region in Russian ice-hockey”

RT President Mintimer Shaimiev, Plenipotentiary Envoy of RF President in the Volga Federal District Alexander Konovalov, RT Minister of Youth Affairs, Sport and Tourism Marat Bariev, Head of Elabuga region administration Ilshat Gafurov, Chief Federal Inspector in RT Marsel Galimardanov and other officials took part in the opening ceremony.
Mintimer Shaimiev said opening the ice palace: “New ice palace appeared on ancient land of Elabuga. It tells us of certain level of the town development, what the town is creating. Far not in every region of Russia they can say they have as many ice palaces as in Tatarstan. Elabuga’s ice palace is the 18th in republic”. Mintimer Shaimiev also announced that a decision to celebrate Elabuga town 1000th anniversary was officially adopted.
“You are worth it and we will celebrate this anniversary well”, - Mintimer Shaimiev said to residents of the town.
