Mintimer Shaimiev: «Tatarstan and Krasnodar region have a lot to learn from each other»

The Kazan Kremlin, the meeting between President of Tatarstan Mintimer Shaimiev and Governor of Krasnodar region Alexander Tkachev on issues of cooperation between Tatarstan and Krasnodar region.

Mintimer Shaimiev thanked Alexander Tkachev and representatives of Krasnodar regional delegation that they had found time and arrived in capital of Tatarstan. President of the republic reminded that on 1000-years anniversary of Kazan heads of all subjects of the Russian Federation had gathered in Kazan. «After that event the representatives of different regions came to see us, but such a numerous delegation since then was not yet” - he emphasized. The President noted also that he was glad together with Krasnodarers to their successes and high indices in sphere of agriculture. «We are impressed by your work and political stability in your region», - Mintimer Shaimiev admitted, having noted that for last years Krasnodar territory as never before has turned into multinational territory. As he said, there is a lot for Tatarstan and Krasnodar region to learn from each other, both in social and in economic sphere.

In his turn Krasnodar Governor expressed sincere gratitude to RT President for hospitality and opportunity to discuss essential problems. «We for a long time were anxious to arrive in Tatarstan, and our wish increased manifolds after 1000-anniversary of Kazan», - he said. Representatives of the region are interested most of in petroleum-refining industry, municipal economy, social sphere of Tatarstan. Special interest, by A.Tkachev's words, causes experience of the republic in development of city infrastructure, attraction of investments, some social programs, including liquidations of dilapidated habitation and creation of business - incubators.
