President Mintimer Shaimiev delivered state awards

An official award ceremony took place on December 15, in Kazan Kremlin. RT President Mintimer Shaimiev delivered state awards of the Russian Federation and Republic of Tatarstan to deserved politicians, scientists, representatives of court bodies, healthcare and education, industry, civil construction and agriculture.

Before the opening of the solemn ceremony RT President reminded that the current year was marked by a historical event – celebration of Kazan 1000th anniversary. Mintimer Shaimiev noted that Tatarstan has advanced in its economic development, according to forecasts, in which there “is personal contribution of each citizen of Tatarstan”. Having expressed appreciation to the deserved Tatarstaners, gathered in Kazan Kremlin for the ceremony, Mintimer Shaimiev underlined that their contribution to national economy dynamic development “is especially significant”.

President awarded deputies of Federation Council Ekzam Gubaidullin and Aleksei Pakhomov, chief federal inspector in RT Marsel Galimardanov, RT prosecutor Kafil Amirov, chairman of RT Supreme Court Gennadi Baranov, secretary of RT Security Council Vener Salimov, chairman of RT central election commission Anatoli Fomin, chairman of RT arbitrary court Rashid Salakhov and others the jubilee medals “In memory of Kazan 1000-anniversary”.

Mintimer Shaimiev awarded professor of Kazan State University Anatoli Sherstnev medal of Russian Federation “For merits before Motherland”. “Pushkin’s medal” was delivered to Chief Bibliographer of Lobachevsky library Natalia Ermolaeva.

A number of activists of culture, science, education, arts, mechanical engineering, medicine and food industry were awarded honorary titles of “Deserved activist of RF” and “Deserved worker of RF”.
