Mintimer Shaimiev: Appearance of trading complex MEGA in Kazan - a good sign for investors coming in our republic

Today President of Tatarstan Mintimer Shaimiev has taken part in opening shopping center “MEGA” in Kazan.

Before the beginning of official ceremony Mintimer Shaimiev together with the founder of company IKEA Ingvar Kamprad, heads of government bodies of the republic and representatives of the Swedish company saw the trading platforms of "MEGA Kazan".

Family shopping center "MEGA Kazan" is the first outside the Moscow region. Investments into the Kazan complex made 200 million dollars. The general space of the center, including shop IKEA - the company which had developed the concept of MEGA's network makes 115 thousand square meters. "MEGA Kazan" unites under one roof 137 shops. Besides the opportunity to get any goods, visitors of 'MEGA Kazan" may have a good time here. Concerts of classical music, blues and jazz, children's performances and representations - such surprises prepared the owners of a complex for citizens of Kazan and guests of the capital. The main sight of "MEGA Kazan" is a covered skating rink.

Speaking during official opening ceremony of the Center, Mintimer Shaimiev noted, that the business which had started one and half year ago from opening the IKEA complex in Kazan is prospering. As he said, a trade, being for all the world a habitual craft, by and large just has started to develop with us. When you see our youth in beautiful attires from which feeling of self-esteem is coming , you feel pride, - President shared out impressions during dialogue with personnel of trading complex. To a word, "MEGA-Kazan" provides about 2,5 thousand working places for city people. Besides as Mintimer Shaimiev marked , appearance of new shopping center in Tatarstan is one more good sign for investors willing to come to our republic.


The President of Tatarstan reminded, that this year Kazan celebrated 1000-years anniversary which showed, by his words , how capable are the residents of the republic. "This is our common success, - Mintimer Shaimiev addressed to Ingvar Kamprad. Therefore I want to hand over you an honourable medal "In memory of 1000-anniversary of Kazan".
