Mintimer Shaimiev: relation to bills submitted to RF State Duma should be more legible

28 November 2005, Monday
The relation to the bills submitted to RF State Duma including proposed by the Government should be more legible. This was stated today in the interview to journalists after the end of the VI congress of the All-Russia political party "United Russia" in Krasnoyarsk by the co-chairman of the Supreme council of the party, President of Tatarstan Mintimer Shaimiev.

The head of republic informed representatives of mass-media that the first part of session had been devoted to activity of the party in the RF State Duma. In M.Shaimiev's opinion when by results of the elections the party received the majority in lower chamber of the Federal Assembly of Russia, there is a task in conditions of the achieved stability in the society and economy to achieve the further development of the society as a whole and solution of social and economic problems.

From my point of view, the majority of deputies from "United Russia" in the State Duma were too diligent accepting the crucial bills offered by the Government, they voted without many words accepting them. In result a significant damage one year ago to reputation of the party occurred . There was a serious conversation that it should not proceed so, - RT President noticed.

The head of Tatarstan reminded, that the President of Russia Vladimir Putin had designated four national projects. In order to implement them more full, we should use legislative initiative and those resources possessed by the party and the majority in the State Duma. It is necessary to expand them. For example, if education is a priority direction, I would offer the law on a status of teacher. Mission of the teacher and the educator is of great importance. They should be supported. I think, the reform should start like this. Or, for example, it would be possible to provide a defer from army for students who are graduating university on specialty of teacher. I think, that it is even a necessity, - M.Shaimiev noted.

The co-chairman of the Supreme council of the party touched also problems of agriculture. He considers, that it is impossible to be limited only to credits and allocating for separate directions, it is necessary to invest in development of infrastructure. "Without roads and gas supply to speak, that the village will be developing is impossible. The same relates to housing program and sphere of public health services, - M.Shaimiev believes.
