Mintimer Shaimiev: «It is remarkable that the highest government is renewed with staff from regions»

President of Tatarstan Mintimer Shaimiev in interview to "Interfax" expressed the opinion concerning staff rearrangements in the Government of the Russian Federation and institution of RF President's Envoys.

«President of the country has finally specified social priorities in development of Russia, and this affects interests of all the citizens without exception. Because agenda touches improvement of system of public health services, education and implementing reforms in these sectors with reference to market conditions of economy», - M.Shaimiev said.

The head of republic is convinced that realization of national projects is not a momentary step for President of Russia but a long-term strategic state task . « The work in this direction should be thought over and permanent , and the main thing it should conducted on responsible basis of executive authority on behalf of the federal government, and Dmitri Medvedev in a rank of first vice-premier now will be directly engaged in this. This decision is quite logical and politically verified », - M.Shaimiev counts.

He emphasized, that President of the Russian Federation last years has been heeding everyday attention to solving problems of defensibility of the country without which it is impossible to speak about strong and powerful state. In this connection it looks justified, from viewpoint of Tatarstan leader vesting Minister of Defense Sergei Ivanov with additional powers as vice-premier.

At the same time answering the question, Mintimer Shaimiev did not rule out that last shake-up staff decisions of the head of the state could be connected to 2008 elections « It is impossible to exclude the parallel decision both this question and vision of problem of the successor. Why we should exclude it », - he noticed.

The head of republic reminded, that the number of priorities included issues of provision with accessible habitation of needy layers of the population with the simultaneous solving housing problems for youth with a view of improving demographic situation. « President Vladimir Putin has defined this situation as catastrophic. Quite important is that agrarian and industrial complex problems entered state priority programs. The condition of agriculture is criteria of economic and parameters of well-being of the state. All these directions are strategic and fateful when the point is about perspective development of the country », - Tatarstan leader emphasized .

Appointment K. Iskhakov, ex-mayor of Kazan as Envoy in the Far East federal district was not a surprise for M. Shaimiev He named this choice by the head of the state as "absolutely exact". « It is remarkable, that the highest state power is renewed with the staff from regions, where many talented and professional heads are working. Kamil Shaimilyevich is well aware about problems of cities and regions not by hearsay, but from inside. He is an experienced manager, sociable person and, I am confident, that can find mutual understanding with heads of subjects of the district. I am sure also, that Iskhakov would promote resolving frontier problems of FED as the region in this respect is an unusual », - M.Shaimiev said .
In his opinion, K.Iskhakov has got an uneasy subject for work where quite often there are failures during preparation for winter when all the country is observing how the cities either the whole settlements or people remain without water and are freezing. « We frequently see as delivery of fuel fails , boiler-houses do not operate, insolvability of these at first sight ordinary problems displeases people. I think, that Iskhakov will necessarily achieve solving these problems together with heads of region’s district », - M.Shaimiev noted .
