RT President Mintimer Shaimiev visited Kazakhstan

October 27, President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbaev welcomed the Head of Tatarstan in his metropolitan residence “Ak Orda”, where here awarded Mintimer Shaimiev the State Prize of Peace and Progress of the First President of Kazakhstan. N.Nazarbaev thanked RT President for contribution to friendly relationships between brotherly people of Kazakhstan and Tatarstan, to development of cooperation between Kazakhstan and Russian Federation, preserving peace and stability in multiethnic Republic of Tatarstan. “You are known, respected and valued in Kazakhstan. Relations between our republics reflect our relations with Russian Federation”, - said N.Nazarbaev.

In his turn, M.Sh.Shaimiev sincerely thanked N.Nazarbaev for the award. “Everything one can study by comparison. During difficult post-reform years you managed to lead Kazakhstan to the number of world’s developed countries. Interethnic peace, consent and stability provide Kazakhstan with progress, which is a good example for the absolute majority of countries on the post-Soviet space”, noted M.Sh.Shaimiev. “The award for peace and progress stands high and is much obliging. Without achieving the peace one cannot speak about progress. And the highest mission of a state leader is to provide such a progress”, underlined M.Sh.Shaimiev.

October 27, the President of Tatarstan returned to Kazan.
