RT President Mintimer Shaimiev expressed his sincere sympathy upon demise of People’s Poet of Bashkortostan Mustai Karim

RT President Mintimer Shaimiev sent a telegram of sympathy upon demise of People’s Poet of Bashkortostan Mustai Karim to President of Bashkortostan Murtaza Rahimov.

“Mustai Karim in his life and art went his own, inimitable way, illuminated with kind light of his protean talent. A titan of thought, philosopher, public figure, outstanding writer and personality, he had already become a classical of Bashkort as well as of multiethnic Russian literature while alive. Being a wise poet he lived and created with a deep sense of an epoch, he was very responsive to its complex and multi-sided problems, infiltrating them through his heart. Works of Mustai Karim entered the Golden Fund of Bashkort and Russian literature, they nourished minds of many millions of people. Each man, whichever nationality he is, will find a great spiritual wealth, will find beautiful example of tolerance, humanity and call for peace and moral virtues in works of a devoted internationalist”, said in President’s telegram.

Mintimer Shaimiev expressed his condolences to children of Mustai Karim. “Sincerely I do share the grief that has come to your family and mourn with you. The most deserved man has passed away, an outstanding writer and vivid public figure that devoted all his life to serving his people and homeland. It is an irretrievable loss and a common pain for both people of Bashkortostan and Tatarstan, all Russians”, - noted President of Tatarstan in his telegram addressed to Ilgiz and Alfiya Karimov’s.
