Russian Olympic Committee and Committee of National and Non-Olympic sports thanked RT President for supporting physical culture and sports

A letter addressed to RT President from Russian Olympic Committee Vice-President, Committee on National and Non-Olympic Sports of Russia Chairman M.N.Tikhomirov was received. It tells of the 7th Worldwide Games in Duisburg, Germany, July 14-24, 2005 for 40 sports that did not enter the Olympic programme.

Russian team participated in 17 various sports. And after tense combating it won the 1st team place. They brought 62 medals (30 golden, 20 silver and 12 bronze) to their country.

“Sportsmen from Tatarstan contributed to the victory deservedly: Ezhov Alexei (golden medal in beach handball), Korobeinikova Anna (silver medal in mat-tumbling).
