CIS Executive Secretary thanked RT President for cooperation in CIS Summit organisation

A letter addressed to RT President Mintimer Shaimiev was received from Executive Committee Chairman – Executive Secretary of the CIS V.B.Rushailo with gratitude for comprehensive aid in carrying out the CIS’s Heads Summit on August 26, 2005, on the days of Kazan 1000th anniversary celebration.

It is said in the letter , in particular: “Impressive efforts of the Government and state bodies of the Republic of Tatarstan, Kazan city administration allowed to successfully organise the numerous events, planed in the distinguished guests’-participants of the Summit working and cultural programmes, which left unforgettable impression of the celebration, atmosphere around it and of the Republic itself in general.

The results of the CIS Council of Heads, bilateral and multilateral meetings within its framework give us a reason to suppose that the decisions and agreements achieved in Kazan will have a key meaning for the future of the regional community, its mutually feasible effective functioning for the benefit of all the countries-participants”.

V.B.Rushailo has also expressed special appreciation to M.Sh.Shaimiev for particular attention to organisation of the Summit by the CIS Executive Committee delegation, which contributed to auspicious solution of the tasks fixed.

“It is a pleasure that we have noticed again an interest from the Tatar business toward fruitful economic cooperation development inside the Commonwealth, which was vividly indicated at the opening of “Business Centre of Economic development of the CIS – Tatarstan”, held before the Summit, symbolising new stage of our close cooperation”, - the letter says.
