Mintimer Shaimiev met Kuwait Minister Abdallah Maatouq Al-Maatouq

On August 31, a meeting of RT President Mintimer Shaimiev and Kuwait Minister of Waqf and Islamic Affairs Abdallah Maatouq Al-Maatouq was held in Kazan Kremlin.

It is his third visit to Kazan. Previously Mr. Maatouq took part in the Kul-Sharif Mosque opening ceremony.

Questions of economic cooperation between the Republic of Tatarstan and the State of Kuwait were discussed during the meeting.

RT President did not make a secret he was glad the Kuwait delegations’ visits become more and more. In his opinion, it shows that relations between the two states strengthen and develop. In particular, the total export from Tatarstan to Kuwait for the first half of this year composed $5 mln USA, $4,9 mln of it constituted production of “Kamaz” trucks.
