Meeting between President of Tatarstan Mintimer Shaimiev and RF Minister of natural resources Yuri Trutnev took place in the Kazan Kremlin

The Kazan Kremlin, today President of Tatarstan Mintimer Shaimiev and Minister of natural resources of the Russian Federation Yuri Trutnev have discussed the issues of tax policy and powers of subjects in oil- production sphere.

During the meeting the head of republic again raised the question on differentiation of the tax on extraction of minerals. The major aspect of oil-extracting branch, in opinion of President of Tatarstan, is development of bitumen oil. The stocks of bitumen oil in the republic make about 9 billion tons, and its deposits are on small depth, Mintimer Shaimiev noted. In spite of the fact that number of investors approach with initiatives, development of bitumen oil because of the big tax on its extraction becomes unprofitable.
