Mintimer Shaimiev and Alexei Kudrin Discussed Interim Results of Preparation to Kazan 1000-Anniversary

On August 6, RT President Mintimer Shaimiev discussed with Alexei Kudrin, RF Minister of Finance, preparation results to the Kazan Jubilee.

The programme of Kazan 1000-anniversary worth 7.7 bln roubles will be accomplished this year in full – Minister of Finance stated.

Mintimer Shaimiev noted with pleasure that the accords reached previously are being carried out from meeting to meeting. According to him, there are no insoluble questions for now. “We work in an intense regime, practically 24/7. At the same time, it is good to have so many things to do. I believe, everything will be done in the best way possible”, RT President said. Mintimer Shaimiev thanked RF Minister for his personal participation in Kazan 1000-years celebration preparations.

In his turn, Alexei Kudrin assessed readiness of the most important objects of the city, before the meeting. “The city has changed. Our dream to launch a metro in Kazan has come true – trains already go there”. According to A.Kudrin, readiness of production, transport and social infrastructure, including sport complexes, hippodrome, roads, housing, etc. is an essential achievement.

RT PM Rustam Minnikhanov, Head of RT President Administration Yuri Kamaltynov, Mayor of Kazan Kamil Iskhakov and other state officials participated in the meeting.
