Mintimer Shaimiev: “Holidays pass by, but the objects will serve City and Republic for years”

On July 28, RT President Mintimer Shaimiev and RF Minister of Transport Igor Levitin participated in a festive opening of “Kazan” International Airport Business Terminal and Kazan-Orenburg motorway commissioning ceremony.

Before the opening Mintimer Shaimiev and Igor Levitin along with Russian and Tatarstan executives inspected the reconstruction process of the airport and visited an exhibition of JSC “KAMAZ”.

Almost everyday Kazan introduces into service the major objects, which commissioning had been planed for 1000-years celebration. Holidays pass by, but the objects will serve the city and the Republic for years, said RT President in his greeting speech. The President especially stressed that it is necessary make the public services of an acceptable quality level within the next three years at most. It is firstly related to the housing-communal and public transport areas. Mintimer Shaimiev expressed his gratitude to Igor Levitin for understanding and responsible approach in resolving the tasks of the state importance.

According to RF Minister of Transport Igor Levitin, the entire transport complex, it is an airport, a motorway, a river port and a railway station, is commissioned in Kazan within one year, which has no analogues in Russian cities s far. And all that became possible due to support of RF President of Russian Federation who chairs the Steering Committee on Kazan 1000-anniversary celebrations preparation.
