Mintimer Shaimiev, ‘We should assign work to the enterprises of our republic’

Republican session with participation of Tatarstan President Mintimer Shaimiev has taken place in Aktanysh. It has been devoted to the development of industrial potential of RT cities and towns on the base of interaction between large and small businesses.

Tatarstan Prime Minister Rustam Minnikhanov, Chairman of RT State Council Farid Moukhametshin, RT President Apparatus’ head Yuri Kamaltynov, the representatives of Ministries and departments, the heads of municipal regions and city districts, the managers of large industrial enterprises have taken part in it.

The exhibition of the goods, produced by the enterprises in Kama Industrial Park Master for the needs of JSC KAMAZ, has been opened in the hall of the cultural center Yashlek, where the session has taken place. The managers of Technical Park have told the President that the volume of Master’s production is 700 million rubles. The biggest county’s Industrial Technical Park provides 1560 working places.

During the session Tatarstan Prime Minister Rustam Minnikhanov has underlined that stable order from the industrial large enterprises of the attendant productions in the towns and villages of the republic is the main issue. At the same time such small enterprises should provide necessary quality and good prices.

The main reporters have been RT Ministry of Economy Marat Safiullin and RT Ministry of Industry and Trade Alexander Kogogin. With concrete indexes they have shown the profit of such enterprises on the territory of municipal formations, especially of agricultural meaning. They have called the project of cast shoes for JSC KAMAZ by JSC Aktanysh Aggregate Plant to be a successful example.

The head of Aktanysh municipal region Engel Fattakhov has named all the advantages of such enterprises from the point of view of local authorities and social problems’ solving (unemployment, low level of salaries, weak budget). He has also stopped on the difficulties, which should be expected by businessmen, who want to organize attendant production in the towns and villages: the absence of loan providing to get credits and bad qualification of the workers. The head of municipal formation has sentenced possible ways to solve these problems.

Tatarstan President Mintimer Shaimiev has sum up the session. According to him, in January-July the republic showed good growth rates of industrial production’s realization; but in August the rates were slower. “I think we have to analyze the reasons of the fall”, RT President has set a task. He has added that money profits of the people, real salary are increasing in Tatarstan.

Mintimer Shaimiev has pointed out that still republic has a lot of organizations, which are not profitable. “We have to reduce the number of non-profitable enterprises, - he has underlined. – How can people live, working in non-profitable organizations? Every time we study indexes we see that there are 10% of non-profitable organizations”.

The head of the republic has expressed an opinion that Tatarstan’s stable development is impossible without general increase of production’s effectiveness. “Why does KAMAZ’ management start talking about attendant enterprises? Because management started to work”, RT President has explained. According to Mintimer Shaimiev, today JSC KAMAZ has to place the production of some large knots and details outside Tatarstan; and it is not normal. “We should assign work to the enterprises of the republic and to start working effectively”, he has underlined, adding that other large enterprises will follow KAMAZ Inc.
