A big delegation from the Chinese National Republic led by honourable chairman of the Chinese part of the Russian - Chinese committee on friendship, peace and development Tzyan Tzychen, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Chinese People's Republic to Russian Federation Lu Guchan arrived in Tatarstan.

The first item of the itinerary of three-day stay of delegation in the republic was a meeting with President of Tatarstan Mintimer Shaimiev in the Kazan Kremlin.

So far the cooperation between Tatarstan and Chinese National Republic is carried out mainly along the lines of the separate ministries, departments, enterprises. The basis of Tatarstan export to this country constitute deliveries of helicopters and synthetic rubber. In Peking the "KAMAZ" Rep-office is operating, a lot of joint ventures on tailoring and trade are active in Tatarstan. The agreement on partner relations and cooperation has been signed between Kazan and Hanchzhow, the document on cooperation operates between national libraries of Tatarstan and China. Interaction between the universities of our republic and Chinese People's Republic is on.

Today within the framework of revival of scale cooperation between China and Russia, Tatarstan, being one of the largest industrial and agrarian Russian republics, should find its niche, Mintimer Shaimiev emphasized. " At a political level the condition for this purpose is ready , the further depends on us ", - he said.
