Mintimer Shaimiev handed state rewards of Russia and Tatarstan

On July 15, RT President Mintimer Shaimiev awarded the best workers of Republic

Opening the event, President of the Republic mentioned the coming up festive celebration of 1000th anniversary of Kazan, “We have almost approached the Jubilee celebration, literally count days. Today much is being done in the capital, sometime even more than we have planned earlier. Speed of construction seems amazing. Freely motivated work actually is the realisation of the Republic’s potential. Today I have come to a conclusion that positive changes in the society coming from reforms, forming of a market economy, establishment of democracy principles, probably affected Tatarstan more than any other region. I am positive that each of you has done its own contribution to it.”

50 workers of culture, science, education, health care, economy, justice, social security, industry and agriculture participated in the ceremony. There were such nominations as: “Deserved navigator”, “Deserved mechanical engineer”, “Deserved worker of oil and gas industry”, “Deserved worker of higher education”, “Deserved doctor”, “Deserved jurist”, “Deserved chemist”, “Deserved inventor” of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Tatarstan and a number of some other honourable rewards.
