Mintimer Shaimiev: “Talent of Chulpan Khamatova has no borders”

On July 13, RT President Mintimer Shaimiev met with popular Russian actress Chulpan Khamatova in the Kazan Kremlin.

Chulpan Khamatova started her career in Kazan Theatre College, then she was admitted by Russian Academy of Theatrical Arts in Moscow. Today, Chulpan Khamatova is a laureate of a number of theatrical prizes. The actress is working for charity since this year. Money raised from a charity concert “Give me a life” in “Sovremennik” theatre with her participation were donated to leucosis children.

During the press-conference Mintimer Shaimiev said: “We are very proud of her, she is from us, from our Republic and from our capital. Her relatives live here, they keep our traditions and they care for her. It turned out so that Chulpan appeared on another creative space, she became popular not only in Russia, but abroad. Her talent has no borders, - President noted, - And I am very much glad that Chulpan keeps close ties with her minor land”. “A quarter of a year I spend in Kazan, almost all the summer”, - defined the actress.
