13 July 2005, Wednesday
As RT President Mintimer Shaimiev stated, “There should be no differences between children education in a city and in a village”. He congratulated citizens of Novoe Alimovo village on opening the Culture-and-Sports Centre after its reconstruction.
During congratulation, President mentioned the agricultural sector problems. Thanks to serious efforts, Tatarstan could save its agriculture, and now it significantly differs from other regions with abandoned farm-fields. Moreover, the federal centre follows not only agriculture example of Tatarstan. Mintimer Shaimiev reminded that during the RF Ministry of Foreign Affairs current meeting, the RT international experience was considered. As decided, such an experience should be spread across other Russian regions. Russian and world’s attitude to the Republic has seriously changed. From this point of view, forthcoming Kazan 1000-anniversary is one more opportunity to present Tatarstan all over the world.

President directed the region citizens’ attention to the point that the next year, when the local governments are to be in force, Aktanysh people will have to solve their problems by themselves. However, the Republic will help local governments in their formative stage.
