RT President and Board Chairman of “Fujitsu” discussed perspectives of “ICL-KПО ВС ”

On July 5, RT President Mintimer Shaimiev held a meeting with Japanese “Fujitsu” company’s Board Chairman Naoyuki Akikusa. One of the topics of their discussion was perspectives of Kazan company “ICL-KПО ВС ”,of which “Fujitsu” is the major shareholder – one of the world biggest producer of computers, software and communications equipment.

Mintimer Shaimiev told the guest of the positive changes that have happened in Tatarstan economy since their last meeting in 2000 in Japan. He noticed, in particular, implementation of perspective projects in aircraftб mechanical-engineering, motor industry, noted that crude oil recovery had been fixed at 30 mln. tones per year, in order to have it enough for many years. ahead

Mintimer Shaimiev called development of IT a main direction of Tatarstan’s economy in future. It was not by occasion that our Republic became the first region of Russia to equip all high schools with computers.
