RT President Mintimer Shaimiev visited festive maidan of Moscow district of Kazan

President Mintimer Shaimiev attended Sabantui of the Moscow city district of capital and on its own behalf, RT Government and State Council warmly congratulated the guests and participants.

The official part of Sabantui traditionally began from congratulations. The head of city district administration Guzaliya Minkina passed a word to President Mintimer Shaimiev. Welcoming participants of Sabantui he briefly reminded of original roots of a holiday loved by all which starts marching across the republic from the first Sunday of June in all villages, cities, settlements, irrespective of their size.

Every year Sabantui becomes more entertaining and brighter. The life of people is changing for the better as well. He thanked multinational people of Tatarstan that Sabantui today has become an international holiday, representatives of different nationalities different confessions equally willingly take part in it. It is necessary to notice President emphasized, that the holiday beloved by all is held not only in Russia, but also in many countries of the world. And claims for inclusion of " a holiday of plough " in the list of masterpieces of a non-material cultural heritage of UNESCO is not ambitions but the will of peoples both our country and all the world.
