RT President congratulates the Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia

The President of the Republic of Tatarstan Mintimer Shaimiev sent a telegram of congratulations to the Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Alexis II on the occasion of 15 years since his enthronement.

“Today, at the head of the Russian Orthodox Church you represent a spiritual father and a pastor, who gives all his stamina, energy and human talent to the high mission of enlightenment and peacemaking. People of Russia are grateful for strengthening the civil peace in the country and harmonisation of the interethnic and interreligious relations. Citizens of Tatarstan are especially thankful for the high level of mutual understanding and common vision on many important problems, that stand before our country and the world”, - says the telegram.
