“Siemens” broadens its presence in Tatarstan

Questions of cooperation with “Siemens” company were discussed at the meeting of RT President Mintimer Shaimiev with President of “Siemens” in Russia – “Siemens AG” Vice-President Mr. Henryk Frystatsky.

“Siemens AG” established in 1847 now comprises companies in 192 countries of the world. It works in Russia in its traditional sectors. Russian regional “Siemens”s turnover was 1.15 bln of Euros in 2004.

History of cooperation between Tatarstan and “Siemens” began in 1930s. It was energy equipment for a Thermal Power Plant. In 1990s relationship between our Republic and “Siemens AG” turned into a new stage. In 1996 “FDO Automotive Components” plant was established with participation of the subsidiary “Siemens Automotive AG”.

The present visit of “Siemens” delegation is a possibility to study deeper the perspectives for cooperation, find a mutual interest and start dealing on all the possible directions, said Mintimer Shaimiev. He reminded the guests that our Republic gained more financial appeal for the recent years, and now it sounds rather prose even. Today, when at different parts of Tatarstan people stuck with “high technologies”, we need the innovation projects as never before.

According to Henryk Frystatsky, his company has lots of perspectives in Tatarstan.
