Mintimer Shaimiev proposed Polad Byul Byul Ogly to accept Chuvashia, Kabardino-Balkariya, Karachaevo - Cherkessia and Crimean Tatars in TURKSOY

Kazan Kremlin, President of Tatarstan Mintimer Shaimiev met 11 leaders of delegations - participants of XXII session of Permanent council TURKSOI.

On the part of the republic RT Deputy Prime Minister - RT Minister of culture of Zilya Valeyeva, Director of Department of external communications of RT President Timur Akulov, Provisional coordinator of Permanent council TURKSOI Ildus Tarkhanov took part in the meeting.

Opening the meeting RT President especially emphasized the role of TURKSOY’s general director Polad Byul Byul Ogly in successful activity of this organization And the success of the organization which overall objective is propagation and support of spiritual and cultural heritage of Turkic peoples, in Mintimer Shaimiev's opinion consists that TURKSOY is not a politized organization. We speak much about the role of culture and spirituality TURKSOY is engaged in it in practice. If we ourselves do not show the initiative in development and preservation of our common culture so nobody will do it. This is our business and form of service for our people and culture, - RT President said.

During the conversation head of Tatarstan addressed also to Polad Byul Byul Ogly with proposal to think of accepting Chuvashia in memebers of Tyuksoi. The Chuvashs are Turkic language people who enjoy ancient language and rich culture. If there is a necessity I could discuss on this occasion with President of Chuvash Republic Nikolai Fedorov, - M. Shaimiev offered his help. Among other candidates for TURKSOY members he named the Caucasian republics Kabardino-Balkariya , Karachaevo - Cherkessia and Crimean Tatars.
