President of Tatarstan signed Decree on resignation of the Cabinet of Ministers

Until a new Cabinet is formed the members of the Tatarstan Government and Prime Minister of the republic Rustam Minnikhanov will work with a word “acting” being added to their posts. On March 30, President of Tatarstan Mintimer Shaimiev signed a Decree “On resignation of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan”.

The document is signed according to Article 94 of the RT Constitution and Article 4 of the RT Law "On taking office by the President of the Republic of Tatarstan”. Within 10 days after the President of the republic takes office members of the Cabinet of Ministers had to submit applications for resignation. The head of the republic commissioned the Cabinet to continue fulfilling its duties until a new Cabinet was formed.
