President of Tatarstan Mintimer Shaimiev directed congratulatory telegram to chairman of Council of muftis of Russia

President of Tatarstan Mintimer Shaimiev has directed the congratulatory telegram to chairman of the Council of muftis of Russia, Chairman of Religious Board of Moslems of the European part of Russia, Mufti Sheikh Ravil Gainutdin at the occasion of Qurban- Bairam.

On behalf of Tatarstanians and from himself personally as RT President Press Center informs, he congratulated Mufti and all Russians professing an Islam, with a sacred holiday and expressed confidence that " today, during active processes of religious revival, the Russian Moslems and Muslim organizations, educational, moral - educational, social and charity activities promote formation of civil society and revival of spirituality, preservation of stability and inter-confessional consent in the country ".

" We are sure, that in constructive dialogue with State the Russian Muslim organizations and henceforth will resist actively to proliferation of religious extremism and separatism, and other negative phenomena of time. In these holidays we wish all Moslems of Russia good luck, each house - peace, warmth and love ", - is said in the telegram.
