Official delegation of Tatarstan has arived in Kazakhstan

On October 27, the official delegation of Tatarstan led by RT President Mintimer Shaimiev arrived in Astana where the Days of the Republic of Tatarstan in the Republic of Kazakhstan are held in the period of October 27-28. The visit is organised within the framework of the Year of Russia in Kazakhstan and under the invitation of Kazakhstan President Nursultan Nazarbayev.

At the airport of Astana, the delegation was met by Kazakhstan Minister of Culture, Information and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan Esetzhan Kosubayev.

On arrival, President of Tatarstan Mintimer Shaimiev gave an interview to "Astana-TV" Channel, and answered the questions concerning last political reforms in Russia, economic aspects of cooperation of Tatarstan and Kazakhstan, interethnic and interconfessional relations in Tatarstan and Russia.

In Astana, Mintimer Shaimiev will meet with President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev, RK Prime-Minister Danial Akhmetov, Astana Mayor Umirzak Shukeyev.

The delegation of Tatarstan includes RT Deputy Prime-Minister - Minister of Economy and the Industry A. Pakhomov, RT Deputy Prime-Minister - Minister of Transport and Roads V.Shvetsov, Manager for Presidential Affairs Z. Salikhov, State Adviser to the RT President on International Issues T. Akulov, State Adviser to the RT President on social and economic issues M. Safiullin, heads of republican ministries and organisations, Kazan Mayor Kamil Iskhakov, directors of the largest industrial enterprises of the Republic Tatarstan “Tatneft", "КAMAZ", «Kazan Helicopters», “Tatenergo", "Nizhnekamskshina”, et al.

The parties will focus on issues of broadening of bilateral cooperation.
