Petrochemistry - a basis of future well - being of republic

Having visited new productions of JSC " Nizhnekamskshina " and " Nizhnekamskneftekhim", President M. Shaimiev stated that priority directions of the economy development of Tatarstan will be oil production and petrochemistry. It is envisaged a dynamical progress of petrochemistry and fixing the achieved level of oil production is supposed. By results of current year it is planned to reach the boundary for 30 million tons of oil. This volume, by Mintimer Shaimiev's words, will be enough for perspective development of petrochemistry.
Visiting two Nizhnekamsk giants of the industry is explained by will of the head of republic to get acquainted with those « points of growth » to which special hopes are pinned in implementing the presidential program of development oil-gas petrochemistry complex adopted this year.

The foundation of effective development of the Tatarstan industry will be in Nizhnekamsk, the President noted. In this connection he reminded of the agreement with Korean company LG International Corp. LG International Corp. about construction of petrochemical and oil refining complex in this city with general cost of investments in amount of $ 3 billion. Without realization of this project it is difficult to speak about the further steady development of the republican economy, Mintimer Shaimiev said.
