RT President will meet with delegation of the PACE

The delegation of the Committee of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe arrived in Kazan on October 11. The visit of rapporteurs of the Monitoring Committee Mr. David Atkinson and Rudolf Bindig will last till October 14.

On October 12, the delegation meets with human rights activists of the republic, visits the Cathedral of St. Peter and Paul, meets with heads of RT national-cultural autonomies, and visits Russian Islamic University.

They will also meet with representatives of religious confessions, political parties and mass media of the Republic of Tatarstan.

On October 13, the committee representatives will visit the penitentiary of the Department of Execution of Punishments of the RF Ministry of Justice in Tatarstan, meet with Chief Federal Inspector in the Republic of Tatarstan Marsel Galimardanov.

Then, there will be a meeting with President of the Republic of Tatarstan Mintimer Shaimiev.

The RT Agency for Mass Communication “Tatmedia” marked that the visit is of great importance for further development of relationship between Russia and the Council of Europe.
