The delegation of Voith AG arrived in Tatarstan

On August 25, Tatarstan President Mintimer Shaimiev received the delegation of the German company Voith, led by the Chairman of the Board, member of the board of Voith AG, Peter Edelmann.

I would like to note, said the President of the republic, that we possess good experience in stable cooperation with the Federal Republic of Germany. It mostly refers to the oil and petrochemical branches, and we have been working with Voith for ten years. I suppose that it is a successful project, which has proved its significance through the years. I would like to thank the German side for their efforts and patience. I believe our cooperation allowed us to understand each other well, Mintimer Shaimiev said. We are ready to further develop our cooperation.

Founded on 1 January 1867, with approximately 24,000 employees, a turnover of EURO 3.1 billion and 180 locations world-wide, Voith is one of Europe’s large family-owned companies.

In June 1994, OAO “Kazan Motor-Building Production Association” (KMPO) and Voith Turbo GmbH concluded a contract for the production of automatic hydromechanical transmissions. Two years later, the limited liability company "Transmission technique Voith-KMPO" was opened.

Peter Edelmann marked that the purpose of the visit is further cooperation that already has a ten-year history. We are happy to visit your city and what especially makes us glad is a combination of perfect technologies and marketing. You can not only develop new products, but also sell it.

The meeting was attended by the RT Deputy Prime Minister, RT Minister of Economy and Industry Aleksei Pakhomov, RT Deputy Minister of Trade and Foreign Economic Cooperation Rustam Karimov, Director General of OAO “KMPO” Damir Karimullin and others. br>
