Tatarstan President meets with head of the Gorky Railroad

Further cooperation of the Republic of Tatarstan and the regional railroad company, Gorky Railroad, a branch of OAO “Rassian Railroads” was discussed at the meeting of RT President Mintimer Shaimiev and head of the Gorky Railroad Viktor Sekhin.

Viktor Sekhin was appointed head of the company about a month ago and this is his first acquaintance with the republic. The interlocutors discussed issues ranging from politics and economy to problems of railroad and regions and prospects of the development.

Among 15 subjects of the Russian Federation within the service area of the Gorky Railroad, Tatarstan occupies a special place. Friendly, mutually beneficial relations with your republic have been developing for years when it concerns important issues of economic growth of the region and work of the transport system. It is without parallel among the Russian regions when we mention our mutual understanding with Tatarstan, Viktor Sekhin underlined.
