Nursultan Nazarbaev arrived in Kazan

On June 29, Nursultan Nazarbaev, the President of the Republic of Tatarstan, arrived in Kazan.

President Mintimer Shaimiev met the eminent guest in the international airport of the Tatarstan capital.

On June 30, Nursultan Nazarbaev takes part in the International scientific conference “Euroasian ideas in Lev Gumilev’s scientific heritage”, to be held in the conference hall of the five-star-hotel “Mirage” and bring together over 170 scientists and social leaders.

The highlight of the visit is negotiations of presidents Nazarbaev and Shaimiev with an emphasis on further development of mutually beneficial cooperation of Kazakhstan and Tatarstan.

Later on, the presidents and members of the Kazakhstan delegation will visit the Kazan aviation plant (KAPO) n.a. Gorbunov.

The guests will take a tour over the Kazan Kremlin, a monument inscribed on the list of UNESCO’s cultural heritage, see what is going on for celebrations of Kazan’s millenium, visit new districts of the city where they will learn about the programme of liquidation of dilapidated housing constructions.
