Meeting at the Kremlin

On June 8, at the Kazan Kremlin, Tatarstan President Mintimer Shaimiev met with Colonel-General Mansur Valiyev, first Deputy Head of the Russian Federal Frontier Service.

The RT President told the guest about Tatarstan and the coming celebration of the 1000th anniversary of Kazan. They interlocutors touched upon the reforms of the Frontier Service that started a year ago after it had been attached to the Russian Federal Security Service (FSB).

“We want to create standard civilized borders around the Russian state, they should be transparent and at the same time prevent crime”, said Mansur Valiyev.

Mansur Valiyev also met with Asgat Safarov, Minister of Internal Affairs of Tatarstan.
