To a lesser degree about economy, in greater - about future millenia of two most beautiful cities - Kazan and Yaroslavl was the subject of talks during a meeting between President of Tatarstan Mintimer Shaimiev and Governor of Yaroslavl oblast Anatoly Lisitzin held at the Kazan Kremlin.

Yoraslavia is a land where, it is possible to tell, all Russian history has taken a root and, undoubtedly, deserves that through seven years adequately to celebrate the anniversary, Mintimer Shaimiev said. Regarding industrial potential, our regions are very similar - mechanical engineering, chemistry and petrochemistry, presented by budget-forming enterprises between which sound competition is under way. In petrochemistry Tatarstan is the participant of European market, new productions are being opened annually, capacities of operating ones are increasing. Just the new line on production of 2 million tyres, for example, has started.

For last ten years we have worked out most good connections in various sectors of economy, that today it is necessary only to specify some details and to stipulate the further prospect of developing industrial policy, Anatoly Lisitzin said. It is necessary to increase volumes, and the competition would impact growth of industrial production what should become a parameter of our budgets.
