At the opening of OAO “Tatenergo”

A symbol of constructive work and renewal of the energy complex of the republic President of Tatarstan Mintimer Shaimiev called a new office of OAO “Tatenergo” at the opening ceremony on May 15. At the ceremony present were RT deputies Prime Minister Zilya Valeyeva and Alexei Pakhomov, deputy Chairman of the RT State Council Yury Kamaltynov, Kazan Mayor Kamil Iskhakov, other officials, power engineering specialists and constructors.

Mintimer Shaimiev and the leadership of OAO “Tatenergo” discussed the situation in the power engineering industry of the republic and focused on such issues as a level of the Nizhnekamsky reservoir, effective power supply of Kazan, interaction with the Unified power system of Russia.

Talking at the opening, the President of Tatarstan compared long lasting building of Tatenergo’s new office with stages passed by the power system of the republic within a comparably short period of time. With a “nightmare” he compared the period when the representatives of this elite profession had not received salary for months. But power engineers, according to Mintimer Shaimiev, had not let down the republic and played their role in reviving of industrial production in Tatarstan, which started in 1995.

The event was crowned by an award ceremony.
