The United Russia party intends to form majority in the parliament

The Co-Chairman of the Higher Council of the United Russia party, Mintimer Shaimiev, and the candidate running for deputy of the RF State Duma in Almetyevsk constituency № 23, Marat Magdeyev, held a pre-election meeting with electorate of Almetyevsk, Bugulma, Leninogorsk, Bavly, Sarmanovo, Yutazin districts in the settlement of Jalil on November 25.

We have never taken such an active part in elections before, Mintimer Shaimiev said. President of the republic has never been a Co-Chairman of the party, but this is our deliberate choice. The new election law also dictates its rules.

The victory of the United Russia party in the elections does not mean that I will leave for the position of deputy of the State Duma, Mintimer Shaimiev claimed. I was elected by the people of Tatarstan and I will serve them.
