Power engineering specialists of Russia and Tatarstan have a common aim

November 20 saw the private meeting of Chairman of board RAO “UES of Russia” Anatolii Chubais and the RT President, Mintimer Shaimiev, who is on leave for the pre-election campaign period. The main power engineering specialist of the country informed the journalists of the fact that during the last 12 years the advice of the head of the RT had often helped him make well-weighted decisions.

Anatolii Chubais is completely confident about the way the RT power engineering will blend with the reformed Russian power engineering system. He noticed that there was a series of important negotiations with the governing body of the republic, and the contracting parties came to the basic conception of common strategy of reforming the Russian power engineering system. The joint-stocking of “Tatenergo” in 2002 proved it.

This fact corresponded to the reforming line, said Chubais. The main purpose is to separate the monopoly multiplier (electricity supply network) of its competitor (energy generation). The head of RAO considers that in 3-4 years the RT network company will interact with the Federal network company, and the generating company will compete with the other generating companies.

Furthermore, the sensitive issue of “Tatenergo” paying for using the electricity network of UES has been solved. Now the RT energy system completely meets its engagements.
