President M. Shaimiev goes to Aktanysh

Just two buildings at once - regional telecom center and trading house "Aktanysh " were received as a gift by Aktanysh residents. The President of Tatarstan Mintimer Shaimiev took part in opening ceremony of the objects.

Welcoming guests and inhabitants of the regional center in the updated building of telecom center, head of Aktanysh region administration Engel Fattakhov, in particular, noted that three essential problems were much of trouble for local people - lack of good roads, absence of gas cookers and phones at homes. All three problems are being successfully settled, as it is confirmed by today's events. Having congratulated telecom workers with house warming, RT President Mintimer Shaimiev and RT Minister of communications Rinat Zaljalov handed over Letters of honour and valuable presents to distinguished workers of communication branch.

Objects commissioned today, - objects, aspired in the future, RT President stressed in his speech before Aktanysh people. In Tatarstan the republican program " Development of communication infrastructure in countryside for 2001-2005 years " is being successfully realized, and also the foundations of state policy in the field of information and communication for 2003-2007 years were accepted. These programs are unique, there are no analogues in Russia. Today we became witnesses of how the advanced technologies in one of the most remote areas of Tatarstan - Aktanysh take a root, the President said. From this rural backwoods of the republic implementation of the most unique program started And it - only began. Today already 8 schools of Aktanysh are connected to the Internet. In the shortest terms the region will be attached to world information space, the President of Tatarstan emphasized.

During presentation of regional telecom center M. Shaimiev introduced deputy to director general of KamAZ on strategic development Ildar Halikov, he was born in Aktanysh. As RT President said, August 14, at the extraordinary 21 session of Council of People's Deputies of city Naberezhnye Chelny the issue on assigning Halikov on a post of the mayor of city would be considered.

Further, the head of republic and persons accompanying him viewed an automatic public telephone center , Internet - saloon and operational room equipped by inter-city and international communication. Videotelephones here were installed, and already videocommunication with six cities of Tatarstan and Russia today is feasible. There are also all technical opportunities for arranging videocommunication with all cities of our country. M.Shaimiev presented a new computer for Internet -saloon.
