Together we are twice stronger

One of the main results of the second day of stay in Tatarstan of Chelyabinsk delegation became signing the Memorandum on results of a meeting between President of Republic Tatarstan Mintimer Shaimiev and Governor of the Chelyabinsk oblast Peter Sumin at the Kazan Kremlin.

Before meeting Mintimer Shaimiev has acquainted Peter Sumin and members of the delegation with a course of restoration works at the Annunciation cathedral, having noted that simultaneously with its restoration in territory of the Kremlin the mosque Kul Sharif is under construction also, and temples will be opened at the same time. Means for their erection were contributed by tens thousand of the residents of republic

Then the heads of regions have summed up two-days work and designated perspective directions of cooperation.

In the signed Memorandum the parties have marked the importance of expanding bilateral cooperation in various spheres, search of more effective forms and methods of interaction. In the document priority directions of cooperation of two regions wee designated as well. It is joint realization of perspective investment projects on arranging production of competitive goods and creating joint ventures for this purpose, assistance to establishing direct contacts between the enterprises of two regions, cooperation between the government authorities, exchange of experience in the field of the government, the further expansion of scientific, educational, cultural and sports contacts, information interchange and experience in various areas. Besides in the Memorandum it is marked, that the parties within the limits of the competence will aspire " to promote satisfaction of interests of the Tatar population in territory of the Chelyabinsk area in sphere of developing the native language, including studying the Tatar language in educational institutions " (we note, in the Chelyabinsk area today live more than 225 thousand Tatars and this is the second nation by number in the region).
