"Basket Hall" - palace of world level

A miracle named the Palace of game kinds of sports "Basket Hall" the President of Tatarstan Mintimer Shaimiev during the opening ceremony held August 29.

Still two years back we did not suspect that are capable to construct such a construction. It is indication that time gradually has come to move republic to the European level, Mintimer Shaimiev noted. Henceforth, what ever we are doing, whatever steps undertaken - all should be oriented to a such level. Here just that case when our aspirations and ambitions appeared above our growth. But this point is understandable if to look at our youth, I am sure, that they are capable today and in the future to glorify Tatarstan and the Russian Federation in many Olympic kinds of sports and at the European competitions. For this purpose all conditions are now created. "Basket hall " can seat seven thousand spectators, and not far off time when the ice palace on ten thousand spectators will be constructed in Kazan.

Mintimer Shaimiev congratulated all Tatarstanians on this magnificent acquisition and expressed gratitude to all those who took part in erection of "Basket Hall".
