Logic of war prevailed: President of Tatarstan commented on events in Iraq

March 20 will go down in the history of mankind not only as the beginning of the second war in Iraq, but also, according to President of Russia Vladimir Putin, as the beginning of "collapse of the established system of international security". Tatarstan President Mintiner Shaimiev commented upon the situation.

Now, in my opinion, it is high time to recollect Marx's doctrine of the capital, he said. This war is "a real face" of the capital. It brightly shows the dialectics of the development of society: the capital requiring additional accumulation goes where it feel itself comfortable. Little depends even on the heads of those countries that waged this war. It only seems that the capital has "a human face". Actually, it will not consider anything if the issue at stake is money. We are to consider this factor in the long-term prospect. The capital will always search for an opportunity to become more powerful. Naturally, Russia, France, and Germany opposed such a form of solution of the Iraq problem.

In this case, I would not speak about a clash of civilizations. Yes, it happens to some extent, as events are developing in the Islamic world. However we shall consider it a coincidence at the given historical stage. Though, certainly, the events accumulate negative energy in the Islamic world. In connection with Iraq it is necessary to tell the following. Russia cannot be weak. It should built today's politics with a look into future. To influence the world situation Russia needs to be strong.
