Mikhail Shvydkoi visiting Kazan

Problems of reconstruction and restoration of cultural monuments to the 1000-anniversary of Kazan, issues of development of Turkic cultures were discussed during the meeting in the Kazan Kremlin between President of Tatarstan Mintimer Shaimiev and RF Minister of culture Mikhail Shvydkoi on December 16.

Mintimer Shaimiev noted that all previously achieved agreements were realized. The current trip is completely devoted to the forthcoming anniversary of the Tatarstan capital and inspection of the objects which should become its pride to the 1000-anniversary. M.Shvydkoi could see today that the restoration of architectural - historical monuments are in full swing - he visited the Tatar state academic theatre of opera and ballet, Kazan conservatory, Kazan university of culture and arts, the Kazan academic Russian Big Drama Theatre, Theatre of young spectator, RT National museum. He said he was greatly impressed by a new building of the museum, it is a gift received by the people of both Tatarstan and Russia, one of the important places of the Russian and Tatar culture. He also positively assessed the amount of work done after the fire in the Theatre of young spectator, restoration of the Theatre of opera and ballet, Drama Theatre. All made forces to admire only.
