From energy saving to resource saving

A session of the RT Government held with participation of President of Tatarstan Mintimer Shaimiev discussed the course of implementation of the program of energy saving in the Republic of Tatarstan for 2000-2005.

The basic purpose of this document is increasing the efficiency of use of fuel and energy resources. As the RT deputy minister of economy and industry Farid Tuktarov informed, for last years in republic the tendency of growth of a total regional product was fixed at simultaneous decrease of its power consumption. Thus, the planned targets in basic directions established on 2001-2002 basically have been achieved. In the project of power strategy of Russia for the period till 2020 decrease 2 times of power consumption of a total internal product is stipulated. The rates achieved in republic, in F.Tuktarov's opinion, should provide decrease of power consumption in such volume. The greatest reduction of electrocapacity of production - by 5.7 % was achieved in mechanical engineering, 4,7 % - in the chemical and petrochemical industry. Thus, as a whole in the industry this parameter makes 2,5 %. The big work of JSC Tatenergo on energy saving was especially marked.
