Mintimer Shaimiev meets Rinat Alyautdinov
On 28 October at their meeting in the Kazan Kremlin, Tatarstan Counselor Mintimer Shaimiev, who is also the Chairman of the Council of Trustees of the Regional Revival Fund and the UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador, and the Director of the Department in Humanitarian Cooperation and Human Rights of the Russian Foreign Ministry Rinat Alyautdinov discussed certain issues of cooperation in the spheres of culture, education and historical heritage.
The previous day Rinat Alyautdinov, who arrived to Kazan on 27 October, said a welcoming speech to participants of the Gala concert of the International Festival of Turkic Variety Art “The East Bazaar” and read to them a message from the Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.
During the meeting Mintimer Shaimiev showed Rinat Alyautdinov the exposition telling about the work of the Revival Fund in preservation of historical and cultural heritage, and informed him about projects implemented by the Fund in revival of the Ancient Town of Bolgar and the Town-Island of Sviyazhsk, building of the Bolgar Islamic Academy, reconstruction of the Kazan Virgin Cathedral and establishment of the Adymnar multi-language educational complexes.
