On June 1, in the International Children's Day, the polylingual educational complex "Adymnar-Kazan" hosted a screening of a feature film in the Tatar language "Mintimer һәm anyn duslary" ("Mintimer and his friends") about the Kazan schoolboy Mintimer and his village adventures.
Tatarstan State Counselor, Chairman of the Revival Regional Foundation Mintimer Shaimiev, Deputy Chairman of the State Council of Tatarstan, Chairman of the Commission for the Preservation and Development of the Tatar Language and Native Languages of the Peoples Living in the republic Marat Akhmetov, Chairman of the Committee of the State Council for Education, Culture, Science and National Affairs Ayrat Zaripov, the Executive Director of the Revival Regional Foundation Zulfiya Sungatullina watched the film.
The main character of the film is a modern Kazan schoolboy Mintimer, who was left by parents with his grandparents in the village to learn to speak his native language during the summer. In a few days Mintimer manages not only to improve his Tatar, but also to find friends. Having created «Timur team», friends secretly and selflessly help the elderly and do good deeds. Filming took place in the villages of Kuki and Yulsubino of Rybnaya-Sloboda region of the republic.
After watching the film, a creative meeting with the filmmakers took place. Mintimer Shaimiev congratulated those present on the International Children's Day and thanked the creative team for creating a beautiful, thoughtful and meaningful film.
